2011 Volvo V50 Wagon
The Volvo V50 is a compact,front-wheel-drive sport wagon with luxury features. In effect,the V50 is the wagon version of the Volvo S40 sedan. Its main competitors include the Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen,Honda Accord Crosstour,and Subaru Outback. For 2011,the less powerful of the V50?s two engines has been eliminated,and an automatic transmission is standard across the board.
The 2011 Volvo V50 T5 features 17-inch wheels,premium synthetic upholstery,automatic climate control,cruise control,power accessories (including an 8-way power driver?s seat),Bluetooth connectivity,and an 8-speaker sound system. The V50 T5 R-Design adds partial leather upholstery,two-tone seats,a sportier exterior (including roof rails),sunroof,sport-tuned suspension,power front passenger seat,and other enhancements. (The Preferred package of options adds many of those features to the T5.) Both trims are eligible for the Climate option package,which addresses cold-weather issues,and the Multimedia option package,which upgrades the sound system and adds a navigation system. Full leather upholstery,bi-xenon headlights,safety upgrades,keyless entry/ignition,and other extras are offered as stand-alone options on both trims. The interior of the V50 includes Volvo?s characteristic floating center stack. With the rear seats folded,the V50 provides 63 cubic feet of cargo space,according to the manufacturer.
