2011 Volvo C30 Hatchback

The Volvo C30 is a compact,front-wheel-drive,4-seat hatchback with some sporty performance features,including a turbocharged engine,and employs a Ford-built platform similar to those of the Ford Focus and the Mazda 3. Exterior styling has been considerably revised for 2011,to make the C30 look distinctly more youthful and daring,according to Volvo. The Volvo C30 competes with the Mini Cooper,several Audi models,the BMW 3 Series,and others.Two trim levels are available on the 2011 Volvo C30. The base trim features 17-inch alloy wheels,Volvo?s distinctive floating center stack,manual dual-zone air conditioning,cruise control,and some power accessories. An 8-speaker sound system and Bluetooth connectivity are also included. The C30 T5 R-Design adds 18-inch wheels,partial leather upholstery,sport suspension,and several other performance enhancers. Several option packages are offered,and can include leather upholstery,power front seats,keyless ignition,bi-xenon headlights,upgraded sound system,automatic climate control,sliding and tilting sunroof,and a navigation system. The C30 features 15.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the two rear bucket seats,according to the manufacturer.The 2011 Volvo C30?s standard power plant is a 227-horsepower,2.5-liter,inline 5-cylinder engine that produces 236 lb.-ft. of torque. It works with a 6-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed ?Geartronic? automatic transmission is optional. According to the EPA,the 2011 C30 delivers 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.The 2011 Volvo C30?s standard safety features include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist,stability control,traction control,front side air bags,and side curtain air bags. A blind-spot warning system is optional. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the C30 highest-possible ?Good? ratings across the board in frontal-offset,rear-impact,and side-impact crash tests.Starting MSRP for the 2011 Volvo C30 is $24,700.
