2011 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback
The 2011 Suzuki SX4 is offered in three models: a 5-door hatchback that Suzuki classifies as a compact crossover vehicle; a fully featured variant called a ?Sportback?; or a conventional compact sedan. All of these are offered in various trims,including a special Anniversary Edition.
The entry-level 2011 Suzuki SX4 sedan features 15-inch steel wheels and some power accessories. For air conditioning and a 4-speaker sound system,it?s necessary to step up to the LE trim. The Anniversary Edition is an enhanced version of the LE model,and features 17-inch alloy wheels,4-wheel disc brakes,cruise control,and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The SX4 Sport model is broken down into three levels: S,SE,and GTS. The SX4 Sport S is basically equipped like the SX4 sedan LE with 17-inch wheels,sport-tuned suspension,and other enhancements,while the SX4 Sport SE and GTS offer more add-ons as standard equipment.
The SX4 Crossover is a hatchback model that?s also available in three trims. The top-line version features 16-inch alloy wheels,keyless entry and ignition,automatic climate control,upgraded sound and navigation systems,roof rack,and more. The SX4 Crossover Sportback offers much the same features as the Anniversary Edition,but the CVT is not standard.
The basic powertrain in the 2011 Suzuki SX4 model range is a 150-horsepower,2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with either a 6-speed manual transmission or the CVT. All-wheel drive is standard on the SX4 Crossover,while all other models offer only front-wheel drive. The base SX4 sedan delivers 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway; the SX4 Crossover with CVT delivers 22/30,according to the EPA.
Standard safety features on all 2011 Suzuki SX4 models include anti-lock brakes (4-wheel disc brakes on the upper trims),front-impact air bags,front and rear side air bags,and side curtain air bags. Stability control and traction control are standard on the hatchback versions. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the SX4 highest-possible ?Good? ratings in frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.
