For the 2011 model year,Jaguar?s coup?/convertible entry includes a special limited edition,of which only 175 have been made.

Both the coup? and the cabriolet version of the 2011 Jaguar XK are available in the base trim or the XKR trim. Standard equipment on the XK includes 19-inch wheels,keyless entry and ignition,leather upholstery with heated and cooled front seats (which offer a wide range of adjustment options),dual-zone climate control,Bluetooth connectivity,and a premium sound system with satellite radio. A multipurpose touch screen operates the sound,navigation,and communications systems. The convertible?s power-retractable soft top folds itself in less than 20 seconds,Jaguar claims.

The 2011 Jaguar XKR provides a more powerful engine and brakes,and different cosmetic features within and without. It adds adaptive headlights and cruise control,and 20-inch wheels are optional. On all models,a knob-driven console gear selector replaces the gated shifter. The XK also features Jaguar Drive Control,which allows the driver to go into several different ?modes? in response to certain situations. The modes offer various suspension settings,and degrees of responsiveness. A new electronic limited-slip rear differential is also standard. The special XKR175 limited edition features exclusive wheels,black paint and veneers,and various aerodynamic enhancements.

The base 2011 Jaguar XK power plant is a 385-horsepower,5.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway,according to the EPA. The XKR?s engine is a supercharged version of the same machine,and it produces 510 horsepower and 461 lb.-ft. of torque. The EPA says it will deliver 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. All Jaguar XKs employ rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control.

Standard safety features on the 2011 Jaguar XK include anti-lock brakes,electronic stability system,and front side-impact air bags. Pop-up rollover hoops are standard on the convertible.

Starting MSRPs for the 2011 Jaguar XK and XKR ranged from $83,000 to more than $100,000.
