2011 Honda Pilot SUV

The Honda Pilot is a mid-size crossover SUV first introduced for the 2003 model year. Sharing platforms with the front-wheel drive Honda Accord and Honda Odyssey minivan,the eight-passenger Pilot has always been offered with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive power trains. The second-generation Pilot,last completely redesigned for the 2009 model year,is the current model. With the exception of a few option and trim changes,the 2011 Honda Pilot is unchanged from last year.
The Pilot is sold in offered in four trim levels: LX,EX,EX-L,and Touring. All are offered with a choice between front-wheel drive (2WD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Standard features include cloth upholstery,front and rear air conditioning with pollen filter,60/40 split second- and third-row seating,full power accessories,17-inch steel wheels,and more. The EX is upgraded with painted body molding,roof rails,power driver seat,steering-wheel-mounted audio controls,tri-zone climate control,17-inch alloy wheels,and other improvements. The EX-L adds leather to the seats and steering wheel and features heated front seats,power moonroof,auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated backup monitor,and more. The Touring model is the flagship. It arrives with a rear-seat DVD entertainment system,Bluetooth with voice-activated navigation system,iPod interface,power liftgate,driver memory functions,and rear-window sunshades.
The Honda Pilot is offered with one engine choice. The standard powerplant is a 3.5-liter,six-cylinder engine rated at 250 horsepower. The standard transmission is a five-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard,with full-time all-wheel drive optional. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Honda Pilot between 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway,depending on powertrain.
