The GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover SUV that was introduced for the 2007 model year. Sharing platforms with the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave,the Acadia offers seating for up to 8 passengers within its 4-door cabin. The Acadia is built on a carlike unibody platform,giving it a smoother ride than a traditional,truck-based,body-on-frame SUV. It replaced the Envoy in GMC?s lineup. For 2011,GMC has introduced a premium Denali trim level for the Acadia,and OnStar telematics,including a free 6-month trial subscription,is now included on all Acadia trims.
The 2011 GMC Acadia is offered in five trim levels: SL,SLE,SLT1,SLT2,and Denali. Base Acadia SL models arrive with air conditioning for the first and second rows,cloth upholstery,cruise control,6-speaker audio system,18-inch alloy wheels,and more. The Acadia SLE trim is upgraded with a power liftgate,remote engine start,leather-wrapped steering wheel,auto-dimming rearview mirror,rear parking sensors,Bluetooth phone connectivity,back-up camera with the screen integrated into the rearview mirror,and other amenities. The Acadia SLT1 receives leather upholstery,tri-zone climate control,heated mirrors,upgraded variable-assist steering,heated front seats,and more. The Acadia SLT2 builds upon the SLT1 with the addition of power passenger seat upgrades,driver seat memory function,towing package preparation,and more. The range-topping Acadia Denali is distinguished by its unique cosmetic treatments,including a new grille,front and rear fascias,and wheel flares. It also features 20-inch wheels,Xenon headlights,and other luxury amenities. Base SL models are only offered with 7-passenger seating,while all other 2011 GMC Acadia models are available with the 8-passenger configuration.
