2011 Chrysler 200 Sedan

The Chrysler 200 is a reincarnation of the Chrysler Sebring, and a new model for 2011. The 200 has been dramatically restyled, with improved mechanics and a more upscale cabin, according to Chrysler.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 is available as a sedan or convertible,in four trim levels. The base model is the 200 LX,which features 17-inch wheels, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, cruise control, some power accessories, and a 4-speaker sound system, and is available only as a sedan. The 200 Touring trim upgrades the sound system, wheels, and transmission, and adds automatic headlights, automatic climate control, and leather wrapping on the steering wheel. The Touring convertible comes with a power soft top. The 200 Limited sedan trim steps up to 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats,Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition, and a further upgraded sound system,as well as optional sunroof and navigation system. The convertible version of the Limited features either the soft top or a retractable steel hardtop. The 200 S trim, available later in the model year, employs a more powerful engine, sport seats, and other enhancements to the Limited trim.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. The standard power plant is a 173-horsepower,2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 20 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. Standard on the 200 S trim and available on all but the LX trim is a 283-horsepower,3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The 200 LX employs a 4-speed automatic transmission; a 6-speed automatic is standard on the other trims. A double-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission will be available as an option late in the 2011 model year.

Standard safety features on the 2011 Chrysler 200 include anti-lock brakes with brake assist, stability control, traction control, front side air bags, side curtain air bags, and active front head restraints. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Chrysler 200 highest-possible ?Good? ratings in frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.

Starting MSRP for the 2011 Chrysler 200 was $19,245.
