2011 CADILLAC DTS Sedan
The Cadillac DTS is a full-size luxury sedan. The 4-door is the largest car in Cadillac's lineup for 2011. First introduced in 2006 to replace the Cadillac DeVille,the DTS is built on a front-wheel-drive (FWD) platform. Assembled in Detroit,the DTS is fitted with a standard V-8 engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The traditional American luxury car is often used as a platform for modification into a stretched limousine,hearse,or other livery vehicle. Most consumers will order the standard-wheelbase DTS model,but the automaker also offers a DTS-L featuring a wheelbase stretched 8 inches to increase rear passenger room. Like all other Cadillac models,the 2011 DTS benefits from standard Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance that covers scheduled oil changes,tire rotations,replacement of engine and cabin air filters,and a multi-point vehicle inspection for 4 years or 50,000 miles. In addition,Cadillac has fitted the 2011 DTS with the upgraded ninth-generation OnStar technology.
The 2011 Cadillac DTS is offered in four different models: Base,Luxury,Premium,and Platinum. Base DTS models are equipped with leather upholstery,air conditioning with automatic dual-zone climate control,Xenon headlamps,power front seats,17-inch alloy wheels,and more. DTS Luxury models add front and rear parking sensors,tri-zone climate control,heated and ventilated front seats,heated steering wheel,and other appointments. The DTS Premium features cosmetic upgrades,including a body-color grille,burl walnut interior trim,and a navigation system. The DTS Platinum is equipped with adaptive suspension,lane-departure and blind-spot warning,18-inch alloy wheels,and more.
The 2011 Cadillac DTS comes standard with a 4.6-liter V-8 engine rated at 275 horsepower under the hood of most models. The exception is the DTS Platinum,in which the engine has been tuned to deliver 292 horsepower. A 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is standard on all 2011 Cadillac DTS models. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Cadillac DTS between 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.
