This luxury sedan,the flagship model of Audi?s lineup,has been available since 1994. For the 2011 model year,the A8 has undergone a complete redesign that includes larger wheels,a slightly more powerful engine,a new transmission,and several new high-tech features.
The available trim levels on the 2011 Audi A8 are standard and L (for long wheelbase). The standard trim level includes 19-inch alloy wheels,adaptive air suspension,Xenon headlights,sunroof,Audi?s proprietary Multi Media Interface (MMI) system,navigation system,leather upholstery,heated front and rear seats,dual-zone climate control,keyless entry and ignition,a Bose surround-sound system,Bluetooth connectivity,and 12-way power front seats. Also standard is the Audi Drive Select system,which allows the driver to adjust the suspension and various responses. The A8 L trim has a longer wheelbase and provides 42.9 inches of rear-seat leg room,according to Audi. Options include 20-inch wheels,keyless entry and ignition,premium sound system,solar-powered sunroof,night vision camera,and much more. Option packages include the Cold Weather (heats all seats and adds a pass-through from the trunk); Premium (more features for the front seats); Sport (upgrades suspension and upholstery); Rear Seat Comfort; and Driver Assistance. With the L trim,an Executive Rear Seating package is available; it includes premium upholstery,refrigerator,entertainment system,and more. The trunk,in all A8s,provides 13.2 cubic feet of cargo space.
