Two trim levels are available for the 2010 Volkswagen Eos. The trunk provides 9.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the top up,and 5.4 cubic feet with the top stowed,according to VW.

The 2010 Volkswgen Eos? standard power plant is a 200-horsepower,2.0-liter,turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 207 lb.-ft. of torque and delivers 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway with the standard 6-speed manual transmission,according to the EPA. With the 6-speed direct-shift gearbox (or ?DSG,? an automated manual setup that?s optional on the Eos Komfort trim and standard on the Lux trim),the Eos delivers 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

Standard safety features on the 2010 Volkswagen Eos include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and front side air bags. Rear parking sensors are optional. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Eos the highest-possible ?Good? ratings in frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.
