The Camry competes mainly with the Ford Fusion,Chevrolet Malibu,Nissan Altima,and several others.
The base-level 2010 Toyota Camry features 16-inch wheels,air conditioning,cruise control,some power accessories,and a 6-speaker sound system. The Camry LE,SE,and XLE trim levels gradually add enhancements. The Camry SE is the sporty trim,featuring a sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Camry XLE forgoes those features to focus on luxury,adding automatic dual-zone climate control,more power accessories,sunroof,and an upgraded sound system,among other features. Many of the XLE?s features are optional on other trims. The Camry?s trunk provides 15 cubic feet of cargo space,according to Toyota.
The 2010 Toyota Camry?s new standard engine is a 169-horsepower,2.5-liter 4-cylinder unit coupled with a standard 6-speed manual transmission; the combination delivers 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway,according to the EPA. A 6-speed automatic transmission is optional on all 2010 Camry models except the SLE,where it?s standard. The Camry SE trim features a slightly souped-up version of the same engine that delivers 179 horsepower. All 2010 Camrys except the base model offer an optional 268-horsepower,3.5-liter V-6 engine,with 6-speed automatic transmission,that delivers 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
