The Subaru Tribeca is an all-wheel-drive midsize crossover SUV,and Subaru?s largest model. It?s now a 7-seater,the 5-seat model having been eliminated. While it?s built to stand up to rough weather and adverse road conditions,the Tribeca?s size and maneuverability make it most at home in urban settings. Subaru has added several luxury features for 2010.

The Premium is the base trim on the 2010 Subaru Tribeca,and it features 18-inch alloy wheels,tri-zone automatic climate control,cruise control,keyless entry,automatic headlights,full power accessories (including heated power front seats),and a 6-speaker sound system. The Tribeca Limited trim features leather upholstery for the first two rows,a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system,and other enhancements. The Tribeca Touring trim upgrades the wheels and adds a sunroof,backup camera,and Xenon headlights. Touring models also have distinctive exterior paint and decoration. Many of the Touring?s added features are optional with the Limited trim,and both those trims may add a navigation system and/or a rear-seat entertainment system. With the rear seats folded down,cargo capacity for all Tribecas is 74 cubic feet,according to Subaru.

The 2010 Subaru Tribeca?s standard power plant is a 256-horsepower,3.6-liter flat 6-cylinder engine that delivers 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway,according to the EPA. It works with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual sequential shift mode.

Standard safety features on the 2010 Subaru Tribeca include anti-lock brakes with brake assist,stability control,traction control,active front head restraints,front side air bags,and front and rear side curtain air bags. In government crash tests,the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)gave the Forester 5 out of 5 stars in front- and side-impact tests,while the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Tribeca its highest-possible ?Good? ratings for frontal-offset and side-impact protection.
