2010 GMC Yukon SUV
The GMC Yukon is a full-size,truck-based SUV that is available in rear-wheel or four-wheel drive and is similar to the Chevrolet Tahoe. It was introduced in 1992. The 2010 GMC Yukon is mainly a carryover from the previous model,with a couple of new features on the upscale Denali trim.
The nine-passenger Yukon is available in three trim levels. The standard features on the base trim include 17-inch wheels,manual dual-zone air conditioning,remote keyless entry,UltraSonic parking assist,OnStar,and a six-speaker sound system. The SLT trim level includes heated and cooled leather front seats,voice-activated navigation system,and an upgraded entertainment system. The Denali trim offers 20-inch wheels (22-inch wheels are optional),and an optional sliding and tilting sunroof,among other enhancements. The Yukon Denali,when properly equipped,can tow more than four tons. Maximum cargo space is 109 cu. ft. with the third-row seats removed from the vehicle.
A 320-hp 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 335 lb.-ft of torque is standard on base and SLT Yukons (iron block or aluminum block with two-wheel drive; and iron block only with four-wheel drive),while the Denali receives a 403-hp,6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 417 lb.-ft. of torque. All engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. According to the EPA,the Yukon delivers 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway on the lower trims. The Denali with all-wheel drive delivers 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Standard safety features include four-wheel antilock disc brakes,Stabilitrak control system,dual-stage front airbags,side curtain airbags,seat-mounted side airbags,and OnStar.
Depending on trim level,MSRP for the 2010 GMC Yukon ranges from $38,020 to $55,995.
