The Buick LaCrosse is a mid-size sedan that competes with the Lexus ES350,the Acura TL,the Hyundai Genesis,and the Infiniti G37. For 2010,the LaCrosse received a complete redesign,and Buick says the new model has sharper handling,a richer overall appearance,a more luxurious interior,and a quieter ride.

The 2010 LaCrosse is offered in the CX,CXL,and CXS trim levels. Standard equipment on the base model includes 17-in. steel wheels and basic amenities,including a seven-speaker sound system. Options packages add dual-zone climate control,auto-dimming mirrors,Bluetooth connectivity,driver?s seat power lumbar support,and remote vehicle start.

The CXL includes the CX?s optional features and adds 18-in. wheels,heated front seats,and leather upholstery. Additional options for the CXL include rear parking sensors,driver memory settings,and a luxury package that adds upgraded seats and steering wheel,keyless ignition,and an 11-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system. The CXS has 19-in. alloy wheels,and includes all the CXL?s options as standard. Options packages available with the CXL and CSX can add a hard-drive-based navigation system,rear-seat entertainment,rear-view camera,and blind-spot alert capability.

The front-wheel-drive CX has a 182-hp 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine as standard equipment. The CXL gets a 255-hp 3.0-liter V6 engine and is available in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive CXS has a 280-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine. The EPA rates the 3.6-liter V6 at 17 mpg in the city,26 mpg highway,and 20 mpg combined. All models receive a six-speed automatic transmission. Anti-lock disc brakes,stability and traction control,and front and side curtain airbags are standard.

Base MSRP for the 2010 Buick LaCrosse was about $27,835.
