For 2010,Acura?s entry-level luxury sedan receives a new,more powerful V6 engine. The TSX was fully redesigned for 2009,adding more safety features and interior room

The base model TSX competes with the Audi A4,the Lexus IS 250,and the Volvo S40,among others.

The interior of the 2010 TSX is little changed from the previous year. Standard features include leather seat upholstery,heated front seats,power driver?s seat,dual-zone climate control,60/40 split-folding rear seats,sunroof,xenon headlights,Bluetooth capability,and a seven-speaker sound system with satellite radio and USB port music interface. The optional Technology Package adds a voice-recognition navigation system with real-time traffic and weather,a rear-view camera,and a 10-speaker surround sound system.

The base Acura TSX features front-wheel drive and a 2.4-liter,four-cylinder engine that produces 201-hp and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. It offers electric power steering,voice commands for some functions,and either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. EPA-estimates are 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg highway for the base model with automatic transmission. The new V6 engine produces 280 hp and 254 lb.-ft. of torque. Estimated fuel economy for the V6 is 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg highway.

Standard safety features include antilock brakes with brake assist,stability and traction controls,front seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rated the TSX ?Good? in side- and front-impact crash evaluations,and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave it five stars in frontal and side-impact testing.

When introduced,the 2010 Acura TSX base MSRP was $29,310.
