Acura?s entry-level crossover SUV combines compact size with turbocharged power. For 2010,Acura added a distinctive shield to the grille and re-worked the design of the lower bumper and headlamps.

Standard features on the RDX include 18-inch alloy wheels,moonroof,power tilt/telescoping steering column,Bluetooth phone connectivity,dual zone automatic climate control,and leather upholstery. The heated front seats are multi-way adjustable. The 2010 RDX offers 28 cu. ft. of storage behind the rear seats,and with those seats folded,cargo space increases to 61 cu. ft. An optional Technology Package includes a navigation system with real-time traffic capability,a solar sensing and GPS-based climate control system,and a 10-speaker surround-sound audio system.

The four-cylinder 2.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is unchanged for 2010. Acura says the variable flow turbocharger reduces turbo lag and increases exhaust flow at higher speeds. This engine is rated at 240 hp at 6,000 rpm with a torque peak of 260 lb.-ft. at 4,500 rpm. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard and includes sequential manual shift capability. Front-wheel and all-wheel drive are available. Acura?s all-wheel drive system can allocate engine power to individual wheels?either side to side or front to rear,depending on driving and road conditions.

EPA-estimated gas mileage is 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg highway for the front-wheel-drive model,and 17 mpg city,22 mpg highway,and 19 mpg combined for the all-wheel-drive version. In government tests (NHTSA),the 2010 Acura RDX earned five stars in both frontal and side-impact tests. It earned a ?Good? score from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in frontal offset and side-impact testing. Standard safety features include front-seat side airbags,side curtain airbags with rollover sensor,active front head restraints,antilock brakes (with brake assist),stability control and traction control.
