The Impreza is Subaru's most affordable offering. Available in sedan and wagon form, the Impreza's standard Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive layout gives it a leg up on its competition by providing superior traction in rain and snow. Unfortunately, the Impreza's sophisticated hardware means it has a price disadvantage versus the non-all-wheel-drive competition from Ford,Hyundai and even Honda. Still, the Impreza has earned a loyal following of buyers who swear by the car's dependability and foul-weather performance. It doesn't hurt the Impreza's image that the car serves as the basis for the high-performance WRX,either. While the base Impreza 2.5i doesn't offer the WRX's turbocharged engine,it can be made to look quite sporty.
