Scion,a sub-brand of Toyota, has touted the tC as the ""Lexus"" of affordable coupes because much of the technology and design found in this vehicle is borrowed from it's big brother,Lexus. The tC fills the role of sport coupe for the youth-oriented Toyota division. This has worked well for Toyota since small cars have fast been falling from favor among the wildly-hot customizing crowd,a dilemma exacerbated by the termination of the MR2 roadster and the long-running Celica coupe. The tC is perfectly poised to take over as the company's hot hatchback, capable of challenging more expensive vehicles such as the Acura RSX,Volkswagen GTI and MINI Cooper. Like all Scion products, the tC is loaded with standard features and offers the opportunity for broad customization with both in-house and aftermarket parts.
