There was a time when the Town Car was Lincoln's flagship vehicle, but it has lost that position to the Navigator. The truth is,Lincoln has done little to bring the Town Car into technological or performance contention with the full-size luxury sedans from Europe and Japan. Perhaps there is logic in that,as the Town Car faithful still swear by this car and will take nothing else,as do countless limo and shuttle services that rely on its large trunk and big back seat. Unfortunately, many of the Town Car faithful, while extremely loyal and financially well-off,are also approaching?or are already in?their sunset years. In this price range, you can get a far more modern sedan from Audi,Infiniti or Cadillac,or pay less and get the same ride and room from a loaded Mercury Grand Marquis. Still, the Town Car represents the last blaze of glory for the big,V8,rear-drive,body-on-frame American luxury sedan.
