Every year rumors of an all-new Wrangler surface, only to be shot down. The Wrangler's basic concept dates back to the first Willys Jeep and, though the current design has undergone numerous improvements, the similarities between it and the 1970's CJ-5 are undeniable. New models, such as the long-wheelbase Unlimited, help keep Wrangler sales strong despite its obvious lack of modern safety touches like side-impact airbags. Clearly, some things are just meant to be,and America's love for the drop-top Wrangler is one of them.
