When the Liberty replaced Jeep's long-running and much-loved Cherokee Sport Utility Vehicle,it raised more than a few eyebrows. The Liberty stands in stark contrast to the rest of the Jeep line, with rounded corners and a cute face. About the same size as a Honda CR-V,the Liberty's body-on-frame chassis eliminates it from being lumped in the hot crossover segment. This chassis, however, allows the Jeep to tackle the toughest off-road situations, something no CR-V owner can claim. The availability of a common-rail diesel engine is a feature no other Sport Utility Vehicle can boast.
