The Rendezvous is what is known as a crossover vehicle. It does not have the ride height or off-road ability of the truck-based Rainier sport utility vehicle,but it does provide a roomy interior with car-like ride and handling because it is based on a car platform. Crossovers have become quite popular as of late,and the Rendezvous is well equipped to compete in this growing field. The CXL Plus model distances itself from lesser Rendezvous with more standard features,a few unique options of its own and most important,a more powerful V6 engine.
