Buick's LaCrosse is a make-or-break vehicle for the division. Introduced last year, the LaCrosse replaces the long-running Century and Regal lines,as well as the popular Le Sabre. Unlike the Chrysler 300,the LaCrosse offers nothing new in the areas of styling or powerplant technology. This fact, coupled with a rather steep price tag, puts the LaCrosse at a distinct disadvantage, especially when compared with a new Hyundai Sonata,Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. On the plus side, the LaCrosse is a competent vehicle with some outstanding new standard features.
