The 2012 Volvo XC90 is a 7-passenger near-luxury crossover offered in two different models--3.2 and the sportier R-Design. Each model is available in three trim levels. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, heated mirrors, roof rails, and rear privacy glass.

Interior Features
Standard amenities on the Volvo XC90 include a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, 8-way power front seats with driver-seat memory and lumbar adjustment, fold-flat front passenger seat, 40/20/40 split-folding second-row seats with built-in center child booster seat, 50/50 split-folding third-row seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Optional Features
Amenities available on higher trim levels of the 2012 Volvo XC90 include adaptive Xenon headlights, rearview mirror with integrated compass, wood-trimmed gearshift knob, navigation system with real-time traffic information, rearview camera, and a 12-speaker premium audio system. The 3.2 R-Design versions include 20-inch alloy wheels, self-leveling rear suspension, and exterior and interior design enhancements. All-wheel drive is available.

All Volvo XC90 models are powered by a 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 240 horsepower and mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Safety
Standard safety features on the Volvo XC90 include stability control, multiple air bags, and an integral child booster seat. A blind-spot monitoring system is optional on all models.
