The 2012 Volkswagen CC is a sedan that shares a platform with the Volkswagen Passat, but is somewhat more powerful and luxurious, and features a coupe-like profile. Volkswagen has added wood accents to the 2012 upper-trim models, plus a more decorative clock and other styling touches. The entry-level CC 2.0T Sport trim features 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and fog lights. The CC 2.0T R-Line steps up to 18-inch wheels, while the 2.0T Lux upgrades the wheels. The CC 2.0T Lux Plus adds a panoramic sunroof, and the Lux Limited features adaptive Xenon headlights. The CC VR6 4Motion includes headlight washers and parking sensors.

Interior Features
Base interior features on the Volkswagen CC include leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, automatic climate control, power accessories, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-speaker sound system. The CC 2.0T Lux trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation system, and upgraded trim. The CC 2.0T Lux Plus and the Lux Limited trims add various other features. The highest trim level, the CC VR6 4Motion Executive, includes leather sport seats, more safety features and power accessories, and an upgraded sound system.

Under the Hood
The standard power plant for the 2012 Volkswagen CC with front-wheel drive is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine rated at 200 horsepower. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the Sport trim. An automated manual transmission is standard on the Luxury trim and optional on the Sport. The all-wheel-drive VR6 4Motion trim features a 3.6-liter V-6 engine rated at 280 horsepower and mated with a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shifters.
