Exterior Features
The 2013 Toyota Venza is available in LE, XLE and Limited trim levels. A new grille, modified fog lights, and revised taillights are new this year, and the standard 19-inch aluminum wheels are redesigned. New colors include Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica.

Interior Features
The Venza LE includes dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power driver's seat, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and a Display Audio system with a color touch screen, USB/iPod connectivity, Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming, and an auxiliary audio input jack. Black is a new interior color for 2013.

Optional Features
The Venza LE can be upgraded with a reversing camera, power liftgate, panoramic glass roof with front sunroof, and Toyota's new Entune multi-media system. Entune incorporates voice-recognition technology with a navigation system and smartphone integration, allowing simple access to numerous mobile applications while driving, including Internet radio, live traffic and weather, search via Bing, and more.

Choosing the Venza XLE provides leather seats, heated front seats, Smart Key entry and push-button starting, reversing camera, power rear liftgate, and Entune with navigation. Options for the XLE trim include a panoramic glass roof with a front sunroof and a JBL premium audio system with satellite radio, HD Radio, and iTunes tagging capability.

The most luxurious Venza is the Limited version, which includes a larger touch screen, hard-drive navigation system with Entune, JBL premium sound, panoramic glass roof and front sunroof, and HID headlights.

Under the Hood

A 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard on the Venza LE and XLE, generating 181 horsepower. A 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine is optional on these trim levels and standard on the Venza Limited. A 6-speed Sequential Shift automatic transmission is standard, driving the front wheels. An Active Torque Control all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is optional.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Toyota Venza are:

  • Venza 4-cylinder 2WD: 20/26/23 mpg (city/highway/combined)
  • Venza 4-cylinder AWD: 20/26/22 mpg
  • Venza V-6 2WD: 19/26/22 mpg
  • Vanza V-6 AWD: 18/25/21 mpg

The 2013 Venza is equipped with 7 air bags, including a driver's knee air bag. Additionally, the crossover SUV features traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Toyota's Smart Stop technology is also included, preventing the Venza from accelerating if the brake pedal is depressed, and the Venza includes side blind-spot mirrors as standard equipment. A reversing camera is optional.

Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has provided crash-test results for the 2013 Venza as this overview is written.
