Overview

The Toyota Venza might be classified as a "sport wagon." It's a 5-passenger family wagon that rides high, and its distinctive body styling provides extra roominess in a vehicle that's slightly smaller than its competitors.

The 2011 Toyota Venza offers two trim levels: one with a 4-cylinder engine and one with a V-6. That combination delivers 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive (FWD), 20/28 with all-wheel drive (AWD), according to the EPA. The upper-trim 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivers 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway with FWD, and 18/25 with AWD.

Standard safety features on the 2011 Toyota Venza include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, active front head restraints, front seat belt pre-tensioners, front side air bags, and side curtain air bags. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Venza highest-possible "Good" ratings in frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.
