Exterior Features
The 2012 Subaru Tribeca is a 4-door, midsize crossover SUV that is offered in three trim levels--Premium, Limited and Touring. Eighteen-inch wheels are standard.

Interior Features
The 2012 Subaru Tribeca seats 7 passengers and has 8.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the third row of seats in use and 74.4 cubic feet of space with the second- and third-row seats folded down. The base Premium trim comes equipped with cloth upholstery, heated power front seats, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control with separate rear air conditioning control, and a 6-speaker sound system with CD player and satellite radio. The Tribeca Limited adds leather upholstery, upgraded audio system with satellite radio, and Bluetooth connectivity. Top-of-the-line Touring trims feature an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a moonroof. All Tribeca models feature a 50/50 split-folding third-row seat.

Optional Features
Options on the Subaru Tribeca include 18-inch chrome wheels and, depending on trim level, a navigation system, upgraded rearview camera, and rear-seat entertainment system.

Under the Hood
The 2012 Subaru Tribeca is powered by a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 256 horsepower. A 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift and all-wheel drive are standard on all Tribecas. A variable torque-distribution system, standard on all Tribecas, changes the amount of power sent to each wheel depending upon driving conditions.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Subaru Tribeca are 16/21/18 mpg (city/highway/combined).

Standard safety features of note on the Subaru Tribeca include active front head restraints, front-seat side-impact air bags, and side curtain air bags.
