Scion Sound Processing is the name for the standard digital sound processing (DSP) sound equalization system found in the 2009 xD. DSP gives listeners more control of sound from their audio system through digital manipulation. In the case of the Scion, listeners may choose between three pre-set equalizer settings. In addition to DSP, the standard 160-watt, 6-speaker stereo features Scion's Sound Retouch digital equalization for what Scion says is clearer MP3/WMA-CD sound, and iPod capabilities.
