The Saab 9-3X is an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant of the 9-3 "SportCombi" wagon, first launched as a 2009 model. Saab notes the 9-3X's ground clearance and easy handling. An all-new 9-3 model is due shortly. With that in mind, the automaker has made several enhancements to the 9-3X for 2011. In addition to a minor facelift, small interior improvements, and new wheels, the engine is upgraded with direct injection.
Standard equipment on the base 2011 Saab 9-3X includes 17-inch silver aluminum wheels, leather upholstery, driver and passenger heated front seats, console-mounted ignition, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-sliding and -tilting sunroof, a full menu of power accessories (including an 8-way power driver's seat), and a 7-speaker sound system. The instrument panel can be dimmed to reduce distraction when driving in full darkness, the automaker says. A Premium package of options adds xenon headlights, power-adjustable front passenger seat, rear parking sensors, power-folding mirrors with auto-dimming function, and more. A navigation system and an upgraded sound system are also available as stand-alone options.
