What Changed for the 2010 Porsche Cayenne:

The Porsche Cayenne is a 5-seat, all-wheel-drive midsize luxury SUV with sporty performance features. A broad choice of engines is the main story behind the 2010 Cayenne, which is expected to be the last model of its generation. Special-edition models have also been introduced.

The base 2010 Porsche Cayenne features 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, cruise control, air conditioning, power accessories (including 8-way front seats and an adjustable liftgate), and a 12-speaker sound system, plus a V-6 engine. The Cayenne S upgrades to a V-8 engine and 18-inch wheels, and adds automatic dual-zone climate control. The Cayenne GTS trim includes 21-inch wheels with summer performance tires, upgraded interior trim, sport body kit, and sport-tuned air suspension. The Cayenne Turbo trim drops to 19-inch wheels but gains a twin-turbo V-8 engine as well as a hard-drive-based navigation system, premium upholstery and audio, and many other technological upgrades. The top-of-the-line Cayenne Turbo S returns to 21-inch wheels and adds the most powerful engine of all, as well as a proprietary chassis control system, sport seats, two-tone interior, and other enhancements. Option packages can include ceramic composite brakes, towing package, choice of two sunroofs, and much more. The special Cayenne Transsyberia edition is an S trim but with the GTS's more powerful engine, air suspension, sport seats, and an available Off-Road Technology package. Maximum cargo space in the Cayenne is 62.5 cubic feet, according to Porsche.

The base power plant in the 2010 Porsche Cayenne is a 290-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine, with standard 6-speed manual and optional 6-speed automatic transmission; it delivers 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. The other Cayenne trims have V-8 engines of various sizes and outputs. The top model is the Cayenne Turbo S's 550-horsepower, 4.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, which produces 553 lb.-ft. of torque.

Standard safety features on the 2010 Porsche Cayenne include anti-lock brakes, stability control, front side air bags, and side curtain air bags. Front and rear park assist is available, and is standard on the Cayenne Turbo trims.

Starting MSRPs for the 2010 Porsche Cayenne ranged from $45,500 for the base V-6 model to $126,300 for the Cayenne Turbo S.
