Nissan's full-size pickup truck was introduced for the 2004 model year, emphasizing size, power, and capacity. It continues to compete with the Toyota Tundra, Chevrolet Silverado, and the Ford F-150, among others. The 2010 model is not much changed from the previous year, but several safety features have been added as standard equipment. The 6-seat Titan is available with rear- or 4-wheel drive (2WD or 4WD).

The 2010 Nissan Titan is available in four trim levels and two cab styles. The King Cab (extended cab) offers a choice of a 78-inch or a 96-inch pickup bed, and the Crew Cab features a 66-inch or 84-inch bed. The entry-level Titan model is the King Cab XE, which includes 18-inch steel wheels, bench seating, air conditioning, 6-speaker sound system, and a lockable tailgate. The Titan Crew Cab XE features power windows and locks, 8-speaker sound system, and a power rear window. An optional Popular Equipment package adds a receiver hitch and other upgrades. The Titan SE, Pro-4X, and LE trims gradually add other features and option packages. The top-of-the-line model is the Titan Pro-4X, which features 4WD, complete power accessories (including an 8-way adjustable driver's seat), automatic headlights, premium mirrors, Bluetooth capability, and many other standard features. Its performance features include Rancho shocks, heavy-duty skid plates, push-button rear locking differential, and more. Options include leather upholstery, sunroof, navigation system, 10-speaker sound system, and rear-seat entertainment system.

The standard power plant in the 2010 Nissan Titan is a 317-horsepower, 5.6-liter V-8 engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. According to the EPA, the 2010 Nissan Titan 4WD delivers 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway. Maximum payload is more than 1 ton on all trims. When properly equipped, the 2010 Nissan Titan can tow more than 9000 pounds, according to the manufacturer.

Anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, front side air bags, and side curtain air bags are standard safety features on the 2010 Nissan Titan. In government crash tests, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2010 Nissan Titan 5 out of 5 stars for driver protection and 4 stars for passenger protection in frontal-impact tests.
