Exterior Features
The 2012 Nissan NV is a full-size cargo van that is available in three models and offered in two roof heights and trim levels. Seventeen-inch wheels are standard.

Interior Features
The 2012 Nissan NV seats 2 passengers and provides 234.1 cubic feet of cargo space with regular roof height, while the high-top model (not available on the NV 1500 base model) expands cargo volume to 323.1 cubic feet. The base S trim comes standard with cloth upholstery, air conditioning, and a 2-speaker audio system. The upgraded SV trim adds power windows and locks, cruise control, park assist, and an upgraded audio system.

Optional Features
Upgrading to the SV trim from the S trim adds many of the available options to the Nissan NV; however, there are some notable stand-alone options. Rear door windows, rearview camera, and a glass breakage sensor may be added, depending on trim. Other options are grouped together into packages, such as the Side and Curtain Air Bag package and the Technology package, which includes Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and a touch-screen navigation system.

Under the Hood
The base 2012 Nissan NV 1500 model is equipped with a 4.0-liter V-6 engine rated at 261 horsepower.  Optional on the NV 2500, but standard on the NV 3500, is a 5.6-liter V-8 engine rated at 317 horsepower. All NV models are fitted with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy
No EPA fuel-economy figures are available because the 2012 Nissan NV series is exempt from federal fuel-economy testing requirements.

Safety
Standard safety features on the Nissan NV series include anti-lock brakes.

To date, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IHHS) have tested the 2012 Nissan NV.
