Overview

All 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor models share the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine with front- or all-wheel-drive powertrain options. In an interesting move, Mitsubishi did not make a 2009 model of the Endeavor, allowing dealers to sell leftover 2008 models in advance of the slightly restyled 2010 model. For 2010, the automaker treated the Endeavor to a mild facelift and added standard Bluetooth phone connectivity across the model range. Two new exterior colors and revised equipment packages round out the changes.

  • Restyled grille and taillights
  • New body-color door handles
  • New standard Bluetooth phone connectivity on all models
  • New automatic climate control and upgraded center armrest on SE models
  • New 18-inch wheels on SE models
  • New option package bundles sunroof, navigation, back-up camera and cargo cover on SE models
  • Two new exterior colors: Carbon and Maizen Blue

The Mitsubishi Endeavor staged a comeback for the 2010 model year, having skipped the previous year. The Endeavor is a midsize SUV with a car-based chassis. It had changed very little from its introduction in 2004, but for 2010 the Endeavor sports a new grille and a new tailgate, plus several additional standard features.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor is available in two trim levels, both of which offer an optional towing package. The base LS trim features front-wheel drive, 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, 6-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth connectivity. The SE trim is available in front- or all-wheel drive, and features 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, heated front seats, more power controls, 9-speaker sound system, trip computer, and flip-up rear window, plus optional navigation system and sunroof. Maximum cargo capacity is 76 cubic feet, and when properly equipped, the Endeavor can tow 3500 pounds, according to Mitsubishi.

The standard power plant in the 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor is a 225-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 engine, with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It produces 250 lb.-ft. of torque. With front-wheel drive, the 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor delivers 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.

Standard safety equipment on the 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor includes anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, front side air bags, side curtain air bags, anti-theft engine immobilizer, and intruder-deterrent alarm. The optional navigation system provides a backup camera. In government crash tests, the NHTSA gave the Endeavor 5 out of 5 stars for driver protection and 4 stars for front-passenger protection in front-impact tests, and 5 stars in side-impact tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Endeavor its highest-possible "Good" overall ratings in frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.

Starting MSRP for the 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor was $27,999.
