Mercedes-Benz's top-of-the-line model, the S-Class has been in production for close to 60 years. It's available with a wide choice of engines and a long list of standard equipment, plus many opportunities for customization. For 2010, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has introduced a hybrid engine that works with a lithium-ion battery.

Trim levels for the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, each of which refer to their respective powertrains, are the S400 Hybrid, S550, S550 4Matic, S600, S63 AMG, and S65 AMG. The S400 Hybrid is the base trim, and features 18-inch wheels, air suspension and adaptive damping, a full range of automatic and power features, sunroof, leather upholstery, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
