The 2012 Mercedes-Benz R-Class is a full-size luxury 4-door crossover offered in two trim levels. Nineteen-inch wheels are standard.
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz R-Class seats 6 or 7 passengers, depending on seat configuration, and offers up to 83.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the second- and third-row seats folded down. With all seat rows in use, cargo volume is 15.2 cubic feet. Both trim levels come standard with a long list of features, including Bluetooth connectivity, power accessories, dual-zone automatic climate control, premium vinyl upholstery, and an audio system with CD, auxiliary connection, and satellite and HD radio.
Mercedes-Benz groups many of the R-Class options into packages. The Premium 1 package includes a rearview camera, auto-dimming mirrors, power liftgate, and iPod interface. The Premium 2 package adds keyless entry and ignition, and an upgraded Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system. Available only on the R350 4Matic model is the Sport Appearance package, which features 20-inch wheels and blue-tinted glass. Stand-alone options include a blind-spot warning system, panoramic sunroof, heated seats, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
