Bluetooth connectivity is included, as well as a 6-speaker sound system with HD Radio and USB/iPod/Aux. connections. Convertibles have an "Openometer" that measures the amount of time spent driving with the top down.

Optional Features
Mini Coopers can be optioned with a long list of packages, extra-cost features, and accessories.

Under the Hood
All 2013 Mini Coopers are equipped with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. Power output varies depending on trim level, but each engine can be paired with a choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The standard Cooper models generate 121 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbocharged Cooper S models generate 181 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, the latter available between 1,600 and 5,000 rpm. The turbocharged Cooper JCW models deliver 208 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque, with peak torque offered from 1,850 to 5,000 rpm. Output figures for the new John Cooper Works GP Hardtop are not available as this overview is written.

Notably, the Cooper S and Cooper JCW provide an "Overboost" function that increases torque output for short periods of time.
