  • Three additional colors are available this year

Exterior Features
The 2013 Lincoln Navigator is available in standard- and extended-length body styles, the latter called the Navigator L. Standard equipment includes HID headlights, fog lights, and heated, power-folding side mirrors. A power tailgate, power-deploying running boards, and 18-inch aluminum wheels are also standard.

Interior Features
Premium leather upholstery is standard on every Navigator, along with heated and cooled 10-way power front seats, heated second-row bucket seats, and a power-folding third-row seat. A navigation system, THX II Certified 5.1 surround-sound system, Sync hands-free connectivity, USB port, and both HD Radio and satellite radio are also included. Additionally, the Navigator comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-and-wood steering wheel, and power-adjustable pedals.

The standard Navigator offers 18.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third-row seat, while the Navigator L provides 42.6 cubic feet behind the third-row seat. The SUV has 128.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded down.

Optional Features
The Navigator is available with a Monochrome Limited Edition package that adds body-color trim and exterior detailing. Additional options include a second-row bench seat, power sunroof, heavy-duty trailering equipment, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and White Platinum Tri-coat paint.

Under the Hood
A 5.4-liter V-8 engine providing 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque is standard, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission generating power to the rear (2WD) or to all four wheels (4WD). When properly equipped, the Navigator can tow up to 9,000 pounds. The Navigator L's maximum tow rating is 8,700 pounds.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Lincoln Navigator are:

  • Navigator 2WD: 14/20/16 mpg (city/highway/combined)
  • Navigator 4WD: 13/18/15 mpg

The 2013 Lincoln Navigator is equipped with 6 standard air bags, including side curtain air bags that protect occupants in all three rows of seats. Front and rear park-assist sensors are also standard, as well as a reversing camera, programmable MyKey seat belt and speed alerts, SOS Post Crash Alert system, and Sync Operator Assist, which enables the driver or a passenger to have contact with both the Navigator and rescuers if the air bags deploy.

The AdvanceTrac traction and stability control system includes roll stability control, trailer sway control, and new this year, Curve Control. Curve Control senses when the Navigator is entering a turn too fast, and applies braking at specific wheels to slow the SUV by as much as 10 mph while tightening the cornering line to keep the truck in its lane.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives all Navigators a 4-star (out of 5) overall crash-test rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not performed crash tests on the 2013 Lincoln Navigator.
