Exterior FeaturesThe 2013 Lexus LS flagship luxury sedan receives a substantial makeover, although not a complete redesign. The 2013 LS lineup includes three models: LS 460, LS 460 L, and LS 600h L hybrid. The LS 460 L is an extended-wheelbase version with 5 extra inches of length, and the LS 600h L is a hybrid version of the extended-length model. All LS sedans feature the new Lexus spindle grille design and sharper overall lines for 2013. F Sport versions feature unique styling details and bigger wheels.
Interior FeaturesStandard features for the 2013 Lexus LS include leather upholstery and wood trim, a new 12.3-inch color display screen, and a new Remote Touch controller. Additionally, the LS is equipped with a navigation system with real-time traffic information, power moonroof, and 10-speaker audio system with HD and satellite radio, iPod/USB connection, and Bluetooth audio streaming capability.
Optional FeaturesThe 2013 Lexus LS can be optioned with an F Sport package that contains cosmetic and mechanical upgrades designed to turn the LS into a sport sedan. Additionally, the LS can be outfitted with a new four-zone Lexus Climate Concierge system, Mark Levinson Reference Surround Audio system, and premium semi-aniline leather. An Executive Class Seating package with individual climate-controlled rear seats, Lexus Climate Concierge, and an entertainment system is also available.
Under the HoodA 4.6-liter V-8 engine generating 386 horsepower is standard for all LS 460 models. In models with all-wheel drive (AWD), the V-8 generates 360 horsepower. The LS 600h L has a hybrid powertrain pairing a 5.0-liter V-8 engine with two electric motors and Lithium-ion batteries. Together, the components produce 438 horsepower, and the LS 600h L can accelerate to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, according to Lexus. All 2013 LS models have an 8-speed automatic transmission.

SafetyStandard Lexus Enform service automatically alerts authorities if the air bags deploy, and every LS is equipped with adaptive headlights, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, and park-assist sensors. The 2013 LS can be equipped with an Advanced Pre-Collision Safety with Driver Assist and Collision Avoidance Assist system, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning system, blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic monitor, and rear-seat side-impact air bags.
