Exterior Features
The Lexus ES 350 is a midsize luxury sedan that shares a platform with the Toyota Camry. Standard exterior features include 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, heated mirrors, sunroof, and automatic wipers.
Interior Features
The Lexus ES 350 is available in a single trim that includes leather upholstery; dual-zone automatic climate control; a full menu of power accessories (including 10-way power front seats and a power tilt/telescoping steering column); Bluetooth connectivity; 8-speaker sound system; keyless ignition and entry; real wood interior trim; and more. The trunk provides 14.7 cubic feet of cargo volume. The rear seats fold down, and a cargo pass-through provides extra space.
Optional Features
Exterior options include Xenon adaptive headlights, parking sensors, and a panoramic sunroof. On the inside, upgraded leather upholstery is available, as well as a wood-trimmed steering wheel; adaptive cruise control; heated and ventilated front seats; power rear sunshade; premium 14-speaker Mark Levinson sound system; and a hard-drive-based navigation system. Lexus' proprietary telematics system is also available.
Under the Hood
The 2012 Lexus ES 350 standard engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 that delivers 268 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque that works with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Lexus ES 350 are 23/31/26 mpg (city/highway/combined).
Safety
Standard safety features on the Lexus ES 350 include anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, front and rear side air bags, front knee air bags, and side curtain air bags. A pre-collision system and emergency telematics are optional.
In government crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2012 Lexus ES 350 received 4 (out of 5) stars for rollover protection. In tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the ES 350 received a "Good" rating--the Institute's highest--for frontal-offset and side-impact crash protection.
