Overview

The Lexus ES 4-door shares its platform and much of its mechanicals with the Toyota Camry, making this the only front-wheel-drive sedan in the Lexus lineup. The 2010 model year brings a mild refresh to the ES with a slightly revised exterior, new interior appointments, and additional safety features.

  • Revised front fascia, updated side moldings and new tail lights
  • New 17-inch wheels
  • New side mirrors with integrated turn signals
  • New interior enhancements include enhanced steering wheel controls, revised center console and more wood trim choices
  • New standard rear side-impact air bags
  • New standard Bluetooth connectivity and USB media port
  • Optional navigation system now includes emergency telematics system

Safety-related upgrades highlight the 2010 Lexus ES 350, along with some slight changes to the front and rear styling. The ES 350 is Lexus' entry-level luxury sedan, available since the late 1980s and now in its fifth generation. The Lexus ES 350 shares a platform with the Toyota Camry, and for 2010 it features a new grille, taillights, and wheels. On the inside, leather upholstery is newly standard for 2010.

One trim level is offered on the ES for 2010, with many stand-alone and packaged options available. The standard Lexus ES 350 features 17-inch wheels, leather upholstery, keyless ignition and entry, sunroof, a full menu of power accessories (including 10-way power front seats), dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-speaker sound system. Options include a panoramic sunroof, upgraded headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, hard-drive-based navigation system, self-parking system, and a 14-speaker Mark Levinson premium sound system (available only with the navigation system). The trunk offers 14.7 cubic feet of storage space, plus a cargo pass-through.

The 2010 Lexus ES 350 features front-wheel drive, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and an all-aluminum, 272-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The drivetrain delivers 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.

Standard safety features on the 2010 Lexus ES 350 include anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, front and rear side air bags, side curtain air bags, front knee air bags, and an optional Lexus Enform with Safety Connect emergency telematics system. In government crash tests, the NHTSA gave the 2010 Lexus ES 350 five stars (out of five) in frontal impact tests, and four stars for front-seat side-impact protection. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the ES 350 "Good" ratings for frontal-offset and side-impact protection.

Starting MSRP for the 2010 Lexus ES 350 was $35,175.
