The 2014 Lexus CT 200h is a 5-door, gas-electric hybrid hatchback, generally classified as an "executive car." It's offered in a single trim level, with various option packages. Colors include white, pearl, silver, grey, black, red, blue, and "fire agate."Models and Features
Standard exterior equipment on the 2014 Lexus CT includes 17-in. aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, LED taillights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, water-repellent front window glass, SmartAccess with push-button start/stop and touch sensors on the exterior front door handles. A power tilt-and-slide moonroof with sliding sunshade is also standard. Standard interior features include a choice of four upholstery options (black leather, or NuLuxe), leather-trimmed steering wheel, chrome-finished shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 10-way power driver's seat and 4-way manual front passenger seat, power locks and windows, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity with music streaming capability, and a 6-speaker sound system with satellite radio, auxiliary audio input jack, USB port, and a CD player. Four option packages are available for the 2014 CT 200h, grouped by price. For $600, buyers can add heat to the front seats, and power to the front passenger seat. The $2,064 package includes that, plus an upgraded sound system, HomeLink, auto-dimming rearview mirror, integrated reversing camera, and the Preferred Accessory package (trunk mat, cargo net, wheel locks, and rear bumper appliqu). For $4,564, all of the above are included plus a comprehensive navigation system, voice command, remote touch controller, enhanced Bluetooth, and a one-year trial subscription to Lexus Enform. A total surcharge of $7,532 includes all those features, plus auto-dimming, auto-tilt-down outside mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, an upgraded accessories kit, F Sport suspension, LED headlights, Lexus Memory system, and remote starter.
Available accessories include F Sport sway bars; F Sport 17-in. trident 5-spoke alloy wheels; F Sport lowering springs; paint protection film; rear bumper appliqu; door edge guards; rear bumper protector; various cargo organizers including liner, tray, envelope-style or spider-style net, and mat; illuminated door sills; premium carpeted floor mats; remote engine starter; cargo tray and liner package; remote engine start and glass-breakage sensors package; glass-breakage sensor; and wheel locks.Under the Hood
The standard powertrain on the 2014 Lexus CT 200h is a 1.8-liter, Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine combined with an electric drive motor, nickel-metal hydride battery pack, continuously variable transmission (CVT), and regenerative brakes that recharge the batteries. Together, the system generates 134 horsepower, which it sends to the front wheels. The CT 200h's driver can calibrate the powertrain to meet specific driving requirements using the standard Drive Mode Select system, which provides EV, Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes.Fuel Economy

The Lexus CT 200h is equipped with 8 air bags, including knee air bags for the driver and front passenger. Other safety features include traction control, stability control, 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, and Smart Stop technology that is designed to make it impossible for the car to accelerate with the brake pedal depressed. Whiplash injury-lessening front seats, direct tire-pressure monitoring, and Safety Connect telematics with automatic collision notification, emergency assistance and enhanced roadside assistance are also standard. Safety-related options include a reversing camera and a dynamic radar cruise control system with pre-collision technology.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not yet performed crash tests on the 2014 Lexus CT 200h. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has given the 2014 Lexus CT 200h its highest rating ("Good") in moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint tests.
