Exterior Features
The 2013 Lexus CT 200h is a 5-door, gas-electric hybrid hatchback sold in a single level of trim. Standard equipment includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, LED taillights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, and water repellant front window glass.

Interior Features
The Lexus CT 200h is equipped with standard dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity with music streaming capability, and a sound system with satellite radio, auxiliary audio input jack, USB port, and a CD player. Smart Access keyless entry with push-button start is also standard, as well as a first-aid kit, tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, 10-way power driver seat, and NuLuxe environmentally friendly upholstery. Lexus says the CT 200h's trunk will hold 14.3 cubic feet of cargo.

Optional Features
Lexus offers several option packages for the 2013 CT 200h. The Premium package includes a premium sound system with a CD changer, auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass, and a universal garage door opener. The Seat Comfort package adds a 4-way power front passenger seat and heated front seats. The Leather package adds perforated leather upholstery, memory settings for the driver's seat, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers. The Navigation package adds a hard-drive navigation system, HD Radio with iTunes song tagging, Lexus Enform with App Suite technology, Safety Connect services, and a reversing camera.

In addition to these packages, Lexus offers an F Sport package containing unique aluminum wheels, mesh grille, larger rear spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, metallic interior trim, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a choice between Black NuLuxe and perforated leather upholstery.

Additional options for the 2013 CT 200h include LED headlights, park-assist sensors, and a dynamic cruise control system with pre-collision technology. The CT 200h can also be upgraded with a stand-alone reversing camera with the image displayed in the rearview mirror glass.

Under the Hood
The 2013 Lexus CT 200h is equipped with a 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine, electric drive motor, nickel-metal hydride battery pack, continuously variable transmission (CVT), and regenerative brakes that recharge the batteries. Together, the system generates 134 horsepower. According to Lexus, the 3,196-pound CT 200h accelerates to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds.

The CT 200h's driver can calibrate the powertrain to meet specific driving requirements using the standard Drive Mode Select system. Drive Mode Select provides EV, Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes. In EV mode, the CT 200h can travel 1 mile at up to 28 mph on electric power alone, Lexus says.

Fuel Economy
As this overview is written, the EPA has not officially rated the 2013 Lexus CT 200h for fuel economy.

Safety
The Lexus CT 200h is equipped with 8 air bags, including knee air bags for the driver and front passenger. Additionally, the CT 200h includes traction control, stability control, 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, and Smart Stop technology that is designed to make it impossible for the car to accelerate with the brake pedal depressed. Whiplash injury-lessening front seats, direct tire-pressure monitoring, and Safety Connect telematics with automatic collision notification, emergency assistance and enhanced roadside assistance are also standard on the Lexus CT 200h. Safety-related options include a reversing camera and a dynamic radar cruise control system with pre-collision technology.

As this overview is written, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not performed crash tests on the 2013 Lexus CT 200h, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not established an official rating, either. However, the structurally similar 2012 model was named a "Top Safety Pick" by the Institute.
