Exterior Features
The 2012 Lexus CT 200h is a luxury 4-door hatchback with sporty styling, which is out of the ordinary on hybrid models. The CT 200h weighs slightly more than a Toyota Prius and has larger wheels. The CT 200h is offered in two trim levels.
Interior Features
The 2012 Lexus CT 200h interior features a meter on the instrument panel to advise drivers of fuel-efficiency levels of the hybrid operation. Standard equipment includes tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and, according to Lexus, premium vinyl leather-like upholstery. Rear seats fold down for more storage room.
Optional Features
The 2012 Lexus CT 200h offers package options that include a 10-speaker sound system, rain-sensing wipers, leather upholstery, auto-dimming side mirrors, navigation and infotainment systems, sport-tuned suspension, and adaptive cruise control with a pre-collision system.
Under the Hood
The Lexus CT 200h is powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine and two electric motors for a combined output of 134 horsepower, mated with a continuously variable transmission.

EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Lexus CT 200h are 43/40/42 mpg (city/highway/combined).
Safety
Standard safety features on the 2012 Lexus CT 200h include stability and traction control, 6 air bags, proximity-notification system for cyclists and pedestrians, and Lexus' telematics service. Optional is a pre-collision system that includes adaptive cruise control.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not tested the 2012 Lexus CT 200h. In tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the CT 200h received "Good" ratings--the Institute's highest--for frontal-offset, side-impact, and rear-impact crash protection, as well as for roof strength. Additionally, the institute named the Lexus CT 200h a "Top Safety Pick" in 2012.
