The 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is available in HSE, HSE Lux, Supercharged, Autobiography Sport, and Limited Edition trims. Standard equipment includes xenon headlights with LED running lights, heated power-folding side mirrors, power tailgate, power sunroof, and 19-inch aluminum wheels.Interior Features
For 2013, leather upholstery, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button ignition, and real walnut wood veneers are standard for the Range Rover Sport. A 380-watt, 11-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system is also standard, along with a navigation system with Bluetooth calling and music streaming.Optional Features
Available features, depending on the trim level, include 20-inch aluminum wheels, premium leather, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, and a rear-seat entertainment system. A new Towing package is offered this year, including a tow hitch receiver, trailering electrical connections, and a variable lock rear differential.
New Limited Edition models debut for 2013. The GT Limited Edition is based on the standard Range Rover Sport, is available in Santorini Black or Fuji White paint, and is equipped with HSE trim plus black 20-inch 5-spoke wheels, larger rear spoiler, paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel, and a premium 825-watt audio system with 17 speakers and a hard-disc music server.
The Supercharged Limited Edition is also painted either black or white, and features red exterior trim components coupeed with carbon veneer trim, extended leather treatment for the cabin, and "Sport" logos on the floor mats and tailgate.Under the Hood
Range Rover Sport models are equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine generating 375 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. of torque. The Range Rover Sport Supercharged has a supercharged version of the standard V-8 that creates 510 horsepower and 461 lb.-ft. of torque.
A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard, along with a full-time 4-wheel-drive system equipped with Terrain Response technology, hill-start assist and Gradient Acceleration Control.Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Sport are:
- Range Rover Sport (non-Supercharged): 13/18/15 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- Range Rover Sport Supercharged: 12/17/14 mpg
Standard on the Range Rover Sport are 6 air bags, 4-wheel ventilated-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control with roll stability control, and trailer sway control, along with rain-sensing wipers, front and rear park-assist sensors, and a reversing camera. Optional safety features include a surround camera system, active headlights, and adaptive cruise control with emergency brake assist.
As of this writing, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has performed crash tests on the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
