The Range Rover Sport receives a subtle facelift like most of the other models-and it receives the same Jaguar-sourced direct-injection engines as the Range Rover. There are updates to the suspension and brakes, and the cabin is fitted with even more leather and new ambient lighting.

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport has been given a considerable makeover for 2010. The exterior features new headlights, taillights, grille, and bumpers, while the interior boasts more leather trim as well as a new fascia, steering wheel, seats, instruments, and door linings. Its maker, Jaguar Land Rover, says the Range Rover Sport is a luxury SUV that's somewhat smaller and more maneuverable than the classic Range Rover, and includes many of the same high-tech features-including new V-8 engines.
The 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is available in HSE or Supercharged trim. The HSE features 19-inch wheels, adjustable air suspension, sunroof, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system, 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and many other features as standard equipment. The optional Luxury package includes 20-inch wheels, upgrades the standard leather upholstery and wood trim, and adds heated front seats, windshield, and washer jets.
The Supercharged trim includes the Luxury features as standard, plus Brembo brakes, Dynamic Response suspension damping, steering-wheel-mounted shift panels, and other features. Stand-alone options include a rear differential lock, upgrades to the wheels, upholstery, and sound system, a rear-seat entertainment system, and adaptive cruise control.
Properly equipped, the Range Rover Sport can tow 7700 pounds. Its maximum cargo space is 71 cubic feet.
Both the HSE and the Supercharged trims feature 5.0-liter V-8 engines coupeed with 6-speed automatic transmissions and permanent 4-wheel drive. The HSE's engine produces 375 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. of torque, and delivers 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The Supercharged V-8 makes 501 horsepower and 461 lb.-ft. of torque, and delivers 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.
Standard safety features on the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport include anti-lock disc brakes, traction, stability, and hill descent control, front-seat side air bags, and side curtain air bags.
Base prices for the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport were $59,645 for the HSE and $73,345 for the Supercharged trim.
