The 2012 Land Rover LR2 is a compact, 4-door luxury crossover SUV offered in one trim level. A two-piece panoramic moonroof and 18-inch alloy wheels are standard.
The 2012 Land Rover LR2 seats 5 and offers 26.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 58.9 cubic feet of space when the seats are folded down. The LR2 comes equipped with cruise control, leather upholstery, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and keyless ignition/entry. Other standard amenities include automatic-dimming rearview mirror and a 9-speaker audio system with a CD player and auxiliary input.
Land Rover primarily groups options for the 2012 LR2 into two packages. The HSE Plus package adds Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, adaptive Xenon headlights, and a universal garage door opener. The HSE Lux package adds premium leather upholstery, upgraded power seats, and a premium 13-speaker surround-sound audio system. Stand-alone options include a roof rack system, 19-inch wheels, and a navigation system.
Under the Hood
The 2012 LR2 is fitted with a 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 230 horsepower. All-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control are both standard on the LR2.
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Land Rover LR2 are 15/22/17 mpg (city/highway/combined).
Standard safety features on the LR2 include full-length side curtain and thorax air bags, driver knee air bag, hill-descent control, and roll stability control.
To date, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has conducted safety tests on the 2012 Land Rover LR2.
