The 2012 Kia Forte is offered as a compact coupe, hatchback, and sedan in up to three different trim levels. Fifteen-inch steel wheels are standard, with larger wheels available on higher grades.

Interior Features
The Kia Forte offers seating for up to 5 passengers. Base Forte models include cloth seats, manual air conditioning, and little else. Higher trim levels are configured with power windows, power locks, tilt-and-telescope steering wheel, remote entry, automatic climate control, keyless engine start, and other upgraded equipment.

Optional Features
Major options on the 2012 Kia Forte are bundled into packages for specific trim levels, which include the Premium package, Fuel Economy package, Technology package, and Leather package.

Under the Hood
Kia Forte models are fitted with one of two engines. The standard is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder rated at 156 horsepower. The optional engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder rated at 173 horsepower. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic is optional. All Kia Forte models are front-wheel drive.
