Overview

The Infiniti M is a four-door sedan. While the nameplate was introduced in 1990, when the brand launched, the current M Series dates back to 2002. It is now in its third-generation, last redesigned for the 2011 model year. The M Series is the automaker's flagship sedan.

The Infiniti M is offered in four configurations: M37, M37x, M56, and M56x. All models arrive with leather upholstery, air conditioning with dual-zone climate control, bi-xenon headlamps, power moonroof, heated and power-operated front seats, auto-dimming mirror, 18-inch alloy wheels, and more. The M56 adds a more powerful engine, plus climate controlled front seats, Bose audio upgrade with a single in-dash DVD player, navigation, voice recognition, XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather, and more. The Premium Package is standard on the M56 models. Other equipment groups for all models include the Deluxe Touring Package, Sport Package, Technology Package, and the Sport Touring Package.

All M37 models are fitted with a 3.7-liter, six-cylinder engine that is rated at 330 horsepower. The M56 features a more powerful 5.6-liter, eight-cylinder engine with 420 horsepower. All models feature a seven-speed automatic transmission. Standard models are rear-wheel drive, with models designated with an "x" in their name fitted with the automaker's full time all-wheel drive system, which is designed to improve road grip and performance under all weather conditions. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Infiniti M between 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, depending on powertrain.

The 2011 Infiniti M37 starts with a base price of about $48,000 and tops out with the M56x AWD, which starts around $62,000.
