There are five different versions of the 2013 Infiniti M from which to choose: M35h, M37, M37x, M56, and M56x. All are equipped with 18-inch aluminum wheels and xenon HID headlights.Interior Features
Every 2013 Infiniti M is equipped with leather seats, Japanese Ash wood trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, Infiniti Intelligent Key with push-button starting, Bluetooth, and a power sunroof. Select the M56 and you'll also get a navigation system, Bose premium sound system, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.Optional Features
The M35h and M37 can be upgraded with the features that come standard on the M56. Additionally, any Infiniti M can be upgraded with a Bose Studio Surround audio system, an advanced Forest Air climate control system, quilted semi-aniline leather, suede headliner, and a power rear sunshade. The Sport package includes 20-inch wheels, performance tires, sport suspension, sport brakes and, on rear-drive models, 4-Wheel Active Steer.Under the Hood
The Infiniti M35h is a hybrid model employing a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, electric assist motor, and a Lithium-ion battery pack. Total combined system power measures 360 horsepower. The Infiniti M37 is equipped with a 330-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 engine. The Infiniti M56 has a 420-horsepower, 5.6-liter V-8 engine.
Each model is equipped with a 7-speed automatic transmission and Adaptive Shift Control. For M37 and M56 models, the transmission also features Downshift Rev Matching. Using the Infiniti Drive Mode Selector, the driver can choose between Standard, Sport, Snow, and Eco driving modes, with throttle response and transmission shift points calibrated accordingly. EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Infiniti M are:
- M35h: 27/32/29 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- M37: 18/26/21 mpg
- M37x: 17/24/20 mpg
- M56: 16/24/19 mpg
- M56x: 16/23/18 mpg
Six air bags, traction and stability control, 4-wheel ventilated-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, and rain-sensing wipers are standard on every 2013 Infiniti M.
Additionally, the Infiniti M is available with a blind-spot monitoring system, Blind Spot Intervention, lane-departure warning, lane-departure prevention, Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, forward-collision warning, Intelligent Brake Assist, and Front Pre-Crash Seat belts.
As this overview is written, crash-test ratings by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) were not finalized for the 2013 Infiniti M. However, the structurally identical 2012 model received a "Top Safety Pick" rating from the Institute.
